My Halloween
Hat
For Halloween this year I’m going to wear my Halloween hat, its pointy, black and no one will know who I am.
My sisters will not know who I am. I walked into my older sister’s room and yelled “boo!”
She jumped and laughed, “look how cool you look, I did not know who you were, but I have something that will make your Halloween hat look cooler.”
My sister walked over to her closet and pulled out a long black dress with pointy pieces on the ends of the sleeves and the bottom of the dress.
I put the dress on and it fit! My sister said “this was my dress when I was little and had my own Halloween hat.
I ran down the hall in my Halloween hat and dress to my middle sister’s room.
Look at me, look at me! No one is going to know who I am. My sister laughed and told me I looked cool. “I have something that will make your Halloween hat and dress cooler.” She started going through her drawer where she keeps all her socks.
My sister handed me some black and green socks with stripes all over them. They looked funny but I liked them. I put the socks on stood up and twirled around. My sister said “those were my socks when I was little and had my own Halloween hat.”

I walked into the kitchen to show mom my Halloween hat, dress and socks that I was going to wear trick-or-treating.
Mom laughed and said “oooo scary!” but I have something that will make it scarier.
Mom went into her closet and starting digging through a box of shoes. She pulled out these black, shiny, pointy shoes with lots of buckles. “Try these on,” mom said. “These were mine when I was a little girl and had my own Halloween hat.”
The shoes fit! I could not wait to show my sisters! No one is going to know who I am.
My sisters were standing in the door laughing and twirling with me.
My sisters and my mom told me I was going to be the scariest, coolest little girl in a Halloween hat while trick-or-treating.
And no one would know who I was!
