When you scratch the surface 

of my Superhero exterior

you will find it….

A monster  

contained 

devoured

by societies lack of knowledge

compassion 

and pain

I fought it

to become 

the exterior of my Superhero greatness 

you see today

but along the way

I grew to loathe

the Superhero I had become

contained 

devoured 

by societies 

indifference

comfort

and lack of knowledge 

So I fight you

I fight myself  

to contain the monster within 

and regain 

the exterior of my Superhero greatness
